There are many types of pet friendly lodging Cape Cod offers, so there's no need to leave your best friend at home. Just be mindful that not all dogs are well behaved so you will be required to put down a cleaning deposit wherever you stay. It can be as high as $100 depending on where you are staying.

Yes, I do allow my dog on the bed but only if she is dry. I also make sure to bring dry blankets for her to lie on to keep the floor clean.

Enid near the Kennedy Compound

A great place to visit while in Hyannisport is the Kennedy Compound. From Main Street West in Hyannis, take Scudder Avenue south until you almost get to the water. Turn left onto Irving Avenue then left onto Iyanough. There is a little beach on the right. Park there and walk to the right, down the beach. Cross over the boardwalk from the yacht club and you will see the back of the Kennedy Compound, 2 houses down. This is an excellent dog swimming beach.
